  1. May I take issue with the information that is posed about Robert Montgomery. We have found that the Robert Montgomery in your citation died as a result of injuries in the Battle of Jacinta. This battle lasted 18 minutes for the Independence of Texas. Your Robert Montgomery was divorce from his wife at the time. They had daughter who did a short time after Robert. This was about 1836.

    • Thanks for your comments. I am trying to determine where in my records you are looking so that I can
research. Could you provide more information, please.

      • If you check the list of veterans of the Battle of Jacinta you will find a Robert Montgomery in the list. There is also a last will and testament for Robert Montgomery in it he mentions a sister and a daughter. I guess I need to use another method to send a copy of the papers. Dean
